So which company is better? Blockbuster or Netflix?
Certainly
the challenge comes when deciding which DVD rental service is the best.
After testing several online DVD rental services for one year, I have
honed in on two of the biggies: Blockbuster and Netflix.com. With many
smaller companies competing for your business, it makes sense to sign
up with one of these companies for three simple reasons: reliability,
service, and selection. The smaller companies simply cannot compete.
They are slower, less reliable, and have a smaller selection.
Both are good companies, but I am partial to Blockbuster. I have had better luck with Blockbuster overall. I am listing the TOP reasons for favoring Blockbuster:
• It's CONVENIENT. Blockbuster combines an online store and a "real"
store that you can walk into and return a movie or pick up another one.
• It's CHEAP. BlockBuster Online sweetens the online dvd rental package
by giving subscribers printable coupons every month for their choice of
two free in-store rentals
of a movie or game (NetFlix does not currently offer game rentals),
plus various coupons for other in-store specials such as low-priced
used dvd movies.
• It's FAST. I have NEVER waited more than 1 day for my Blockbuster online rentals.
